Job summary

Ikano Bank AB is seeking a Finance Clerk for the store finance operations team in the Philippines. The role covers daily cash handling, invoicing, collections and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records for the store network.

You will support fixed assets, month-end closings and tax documentation while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with audit and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Understanding of store finance operations, including receivables, payables, billing and cash handling.
• Knowledge of financial transaction processes, reconciliations and basic financial reporting.
• Familiarity with internal controls, compliance requirements and financial documentation standards.
• Experience with finance systems and ERP tools, and with MS Office.
• Understanding how finance supports overall store operations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sales reconciliation, investigate variances and follow up on discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all cash transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and issue billing invoices and monitor collections for timely payments from customers/partners.
• Process manual store refunds with banks as requested by Exchange and Return department.
• Ensure store invoices and petty cash claims are processed accurately and timely with proper withholding taxes.
• Support fixed assets management activities, including budget tracking and inspections.
• Record month-end journal entries related to store operations (accruals, amortization, inventory adjustments).
• Provide support for accounting and financial activities including audits as required.
• Maintain and safeguard accounting records, manage tax documentation and submit sales reports to tax authorities.
• Support store operations in complying with store operating processes and legal requirements.

Job Description

• Ensure all month-end journal entries (e.g., accruals, amortization, inventory adjustments) related to store operation are recorded timely
• Provide support for accounting and financial related activities including internal and external audits, as required
• Maintain and safeguard accounting records, manage tax documentation and submit sales reports to tax authorities
• Support the store operations in monitoring and complying with store operating process as well as legal and statutory requirements

• You have an understanding of store finance operations, including receivables, payables, billing, and cash handling.
• You are knowledgeable in financial transaction processes, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
• You have a basic understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements, and financial documentation standards.
• You are familiar with finance systems and tools, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• You understand store operations and how finance functions support overall business activities.
• You are aware of local regulatory requirements and corporate documentation standards.
