Job Description
- Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
- Proactively manage and negotiate deals with banks and payment partners (e.g., Credit Cards, E-wallets, Installment providers) to secure the lowest possible Merchant Discount Rates (MDR) and transaction fees.
- Implement and monitor strict controls to minimize bank charges, wire transfer fees, and other third-party processing costs.
- Design and oversee bank-led promotional programs (e.g., 0% interest, credit line expansions) that support sales without compromising net margins.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all financial institutions to ensure seamless fund settlements and credit facility availability.
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
- Oversee cash handling procedures across all retail branches.
- Optimize accounts receivable and payable cycles.
- Ensure proper control over bank transactions, reconciliations, and fund allocations.
- Establish a rigorous system to track, file, and collect all claims from suppliers and brands (e.g., price protections, rebates, marketing subsidies).
- Enforce a "zero-miss" policy for the timely filing of claims to prevent forfeiture due to expiration or late submission.
- Ensure all receivables are 100% accounted for, monitored, and collected; any uncollected or disputed amount must be escalated and resolved immediately.
- Maintain strict oversight of the Accounts Receivable aging report; proactively identify and resolve overdue accounts to prevent bad debt and cash flow leakage.
- Conduct regular and meticulous reconciliation of supplier accounts to ensure all credits and claims are accurately reflected and utilized.
- Lead preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts aligned with sales targets.
- Track and analyze budget vs. actual performance, identifying variances and action plans.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, promotions, and expansion plans.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting systems and financial processes.
- Strengthen internal controls for cash, inventory, and financial reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all transactions.
- Support ERP/POS system improvements for real-time financial visibility.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular internal audits of store operations and financial processes.
- Provide financial analysis on sales performance, product margins, and store profitability.
- Support management in evaluating new store locations, expansions, and investments.
- Analyze marketing and promotional ROI in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and Operations.
- Support Purchasing in supplier terms, pricing, and cost negotiations.
- Align with Operations on inventory planning and stock movement strategies.
- Lead and manage the accounting and finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop team capabilities in retail accounting, financial analysis, and compliance.
- Establish a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear KPIs for reporting accuracy, timeliness, and financial control.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
- Ensure proper workload distribution and task completion.
- Uphold strict confidentiality of financial data.
- Ensure ethical handling of financial records and transactions.
- Enforce adherence to internal policies and approval processes.
- Stay updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and retail accounting practices.
- Enhance knowledge in financial systems, data analytics, and automation tools.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly preferred.
- 6-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in retail, consumer electronics, or multi-branch operations is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory accounting, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments.
