Shore 360 is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to provide end-to-end financial and compliance support for the Managing Director and the Australian team. You will record all transactions, maintain audit trails, and deliver reconciled accounts, payroll, and statutory returns across multiple entities.

The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive, end-to-end bookkeeping and compliance support that enables the Managing Director and the wider firm to operate with accurate, timely financial information and full regulatory adherence. The incumbent acts as a trusted right-hand to leadership by accurately recording all transactions, maintaining complete audit trails, and delivering fully reconciled accounts, payroll, and statutory returns (PAYG, BAS/IAS, superannuation) across multiple entities. By proactively monitoring deadlines, reconciling ledgers to external records (including ATO accounts), and promptly escalating issues to the Australian team, the role safeguards compliance, protects cash flow integrity, and upholds the firm’s ethical and professional standards while contributing to a supportive, high-performing team culture.
Support the Managing Director in the performance of their duties.
Maintain and build a supportive and effective team culture; uphold the firm’s values and ethical/professional standards.
Accurately enter all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into the accounting system (XERO or equivalent).
Upload and maintain supporting evidence for every transaction entered.
Perform bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
Reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the main general ledger.
Reconcile general ledger accounts to external records (e.g., ATO integrated client account, superannuation, payroll tax).
Prepare weekly payroll for multiple entities.
Prepare quarterly superannuation returns for all entities as required.
Prepare Annual Employee Payment Summaries.
Prepare monthly/quarterly PAYG withholding, PAYG instalments, and Business Activity Statements (BAS), including fully reconciled VoB (Verification of Balance) work papers.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and timely submission of returns for clients.
Competently prepare a fully reconciled Trial Balance.
Promptly inform the Australian team of any issues with accounts.
Apply intermediate MS Excel and Word skills to reporting, analysis, and documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in bookkeeping or accountancy
Experience with Australian accountancy practices
Experience with accountancy
