We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with prior Philippine accounting experience and foundational Australian tax exposure to join our team. Initially operating onsite in Cebu with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid work arrangement upon program qualification, you will work under the supervision of a Senior Accountant to prepare financial schedules, bank reconciliations, tax returns, and activity statements for Australian clients.
Prepare basic financial schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger workpapers under direct supervision.
Assist in drafting basic Australian income tax returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and related compliance lodgments.
Perform accurate financial data entry across firm software systems while maintaining clean digital audit trails.
Develop deep practical knowledge of Australian accounting processes, standards, and cloud accounting software platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; prior Philippine (PHP) accounting experience combined with 1 to 2 years of Australian tax experience.
Sound understanding of foundational accounting principles, exposure to Australian taxation and compliance, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Ability to work onsite in Cebu during initial onboarding and program qualification phase, with performance-based eligibility for a hybrid arrangement.
Keen attention to detail, proactive learning mindset, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal English communication.
