Job summary

Realpage in Cebu City, Philippines is seeking an Accountant II to deliver client financial reporting through robust accounting controls and accurate analysis. You will be responsible for ensuring GAAP compliance and supporting client-facing reporting.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years GL experience, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work extended hours during month-end cycles while leveraging MRI/RealPage property accounting systems for scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years prior experience in general ledger accounting is required.
• Prior experience with residential or commercial property accounting is highly desirable.
• Prior experience with MRI, RealPage or other property accounting systems is highly desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills needed.
• Solid documentation, writing and reporting skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate financial information and a basic analysis of that information to clients.
• Implement policies and procedures that ensure adequacy of internal controls, safekeeping of assets, efficient operations, and GAAP compliance as appropriate.
• Assist in developing long-term strategies for growth and maintenance of department resources; recommend technology-focused solutions to enable scalability.
• Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and team leaders; maintain regular attendance and work extended hours on month-end days.
• Work independently, troubleshoot as needed; escalate issues to management and communicate statuses; suggest process improvements.
• Decrease turnaround times and cooperate with internal/external customers to streamline workflows; handle special projects as needed.

Job Description - Accountant II

Accountant II is accountable for delivering client financial reporting through internal operational effectiveness of the accounting and internal controls functions, that will support and produce positive customer experiences for our external client base. He/she is also accountable for producing creative ideas about how to improve financial performance through innovation and effective measurements.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate financial information and a basic analysis of that information to clients.
• Implement policies and procedures that ensure adequacy of internal controls, safekeeping of assets, efficient operations, and compliance with GAAP accounting rules, as appropriate.
