Job Description
Qualifications
- 1–2 years accounting experience in real estate, construction, or related industries is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of accrual accounting.
- Knowledge of CIP, revenue recognition, and project costing is an advantage.
- Familiar with BIR compliance and Philippine accounting practices.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, and other adjusting entries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Project & Construction Accounting
- Maintain Construction in Progress (CIP) schedules per project.
- Assist in tracking cost vs budget per housing project.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor accounts payable and payment schedules.
Bank & Account Reconciliations
- Perform internal bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile selected internal GL accounts and investigate variances.
Tax & Compliance Support
- Assist in preparation of BIR requirements (VAT/Non-VAT, EWT, withholding taxes).
- Support government compliance and audit requirements as needed.
- Prepare basic financial reports and schedules for management.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documents.
