Job summary

Netflix is seeking an Accountant to join the Manila Financial Reporting team, supporting statutory financial statements and external reporting for entities in EMEA, APAC and LATAM. The role requires hands-on collaboration across finance, tax and legal teams.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of accounting experience, IFRS knowledge, and proficiency with cloud ERP systems such as Workday. You will coordinate audits, perform analyses, and contribute to process improvements across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in multinational environments or public accounting.
• Degree in Finance/Accounting and a Chartered Accountant.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with statutory filings for international entities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare statutory financial statements under local GAAP/IFRS for Netflix entities outside the US.
• Prepare and submit statistical survey reports for Netflix entities outside the US.
• Assist with internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
• Perform financial analyses and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
• Support month-end close and posting journal entries in local GAAP books.
• Align accounting practices with cross-functional teams (finance, tax, legal).
• Communicate with stakeholders across regions and time zones.

The role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our Manila Financial Reporting team, supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements and other external reporting and local GAAP compliance obligations for our entities in EMEA, APAC and LATAM.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in the coordination and preparation of statutory financial statements under local GAAP/IFRS and other local compliance and reporting obligations for Netflix entities outside the United States.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of statistical survey reports for Netflix entities outside the United States.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
• Perform financial analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data, including monthly and quarterly flux analysis.
• Assist with month-end close procedures, including posting journal entries in local GAAP books.
• Ensure alignment on accounting practices and reporting with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and legal departments.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different regions and time zones.
• Help with the continuous improvement and optimising of accounting and financial reporting processes.

Your Experience

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience; a combination of experience in a public accounting firm and in a multinational environment is a plus
• Degree in Finance/Accounting and a Chartered Accountant
• Strong accounting background and comfortable navigating technical accounting guidance under IFRS
• Experience with preparing statutory filing documentation for international entities and leading/managing statutory audits
• Experience with cloud‑based ERP system is a plus (i.e., we use Workday Financials)
