Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge and experience in handling payroll functions. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting payroll operations.

Accounting & Taxation

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
• Support the preparation and filing of tax returns (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, income tax) with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
• Process tax payments through EPS, eBIRForms, eFPS, or other electronic platforms.
• Reconcile bank statements and tax payment records.
• Assist in audits and provide supporting documents for internal and external reviews.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations.
• Maintain organized and updated files of financial and tax-related documents.
• Communicate with suppliers, clients, and government agencies for finance-related concerns.

Payroll & Government Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and computation of employee payroll (monthly, semi-monthly, or weekly).
• Calculate statutory contributions and deductions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR withholding taxes).
• Ensure timely remittance of government-mandated payroll contributions and reports.
• Generate payroll reports and required summaries for internal use and BIR filings (e.g., 1601-C, 2316 forms).
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.
• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees professionally and confidentially.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 6 months – 1 year of relevant experience in accounting.
• Knowledge of BIR regulations and electronic filing systems (eFPS, eBIRForms, etc.)
• Familiarity with statutory payroll contributions and government reporting
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Words
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
