Job summary

Midway Colleges Inc. is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our Finance team in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. The role covers end-to-end accounting processes, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and monthly closes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, with at least 2 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail. CPA is a plus but not required. Join a non-profit committed to growth and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and maintain financial records and reports.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
• Monitor budgets and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate accounting documentation and records.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
