Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Officer to manage and oversee the Company’s financial records and accounting processes. This role goes beyond routine accounting functions and is expected to contribute to financial analysis, process improvement, and management decision-making. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, take ownership of the Company’s accounting operations, and support the development of a strong financial foundation for a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete accounting books and financial records of the Company.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the appropriate accounting systems.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules as required by Management.
  • Perform bookkeeping functions and maintain proper documentation of accounting entries and transactions.
  • Manage and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Compute payroll based on HR-approved attendance and employee data, and ensure proper recording of payroll expenses, liabilities, and statutory deductions.
  • Record and reconcile cash, bank, and treasury-related transactions in coordination with the Tax and Treasury Officer.
  • Ensure full compliance with BIR, SEC, LGU, and other regulatory requirements, including VAT, withholding taxes, income tax returns, GIS, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Develop and manage cash flow planning, including forecasting, funding requirements, and coordination with Management.
  • Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and accountants, and prepare necessary schedules and documentation for audits.
  • Establish and continuously improve accounting systems, internal controls, and financial workflows.
  • Prepare financial reports aligned with HQ reporting requirements and group standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of all financial information.
  • Take ownership of accounting and financial processes with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as required to support the Company’s financial operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience handling full-set accounting independently.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with Philippine statutory requirements (BIR, SEC, LGU compliance).
  • Experience in payroll processing and general accounting.
  • Experience in audit coordination and tax filing.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems/software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and provide professional judgment on financial matters.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, and general accounting.
