Job summary

The Account Officer for Non-Life Sales Insurance at BDO Insurance Group (BDOI) will help clients secure protection from financial damages and connect them to premier non-life insurance solutions while managing their needs through every step. This role supports developing and growing the business portfolio and implementing processes from sales to collections.

• Graduate of any 4-year degree with at least 2 years sales experience as an Account / Sales Officer in a non-life brokerage company.
• Above average communications skills and product knowledge.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (ability to engage efficiently with clients, collaborate with other business units/ stakeholders and present in a professional manner).

• Takes on calls, requests for quotations, endorsements, policies and other inquiries from clients, insurance companies, BDO branches and business units and acts on them appropriately and promptly.
• Negotiation with insurance companies and other BDOI units the most appropriate terms and conditions to suit the needs of the client.
• Prepare the required documentation using BDOI system such as renewal advice, quotation slip, proposal form, placement slip and cover note.
• Review policies issued by insurance companies prior to sending out to clients.

The Account Officer role for Non-Life Sales Insurance is under the BDO Insurance Group (BDOI). Additionally, he /she will be exposed and responsible in developing and growing business portfolio as well as implementation of processes and procedures from sales to collections.
