BDO Unibank is seeking an Account Officer for Non-Life Sales Insurance within the BDO Insurance Group (BDOI) to help clients secure protection from life’s financial risks. The role connects customers to top non-life solutions and supports portfolio growth while implementing sales to collections processes.

The successful candidate will manage inquiries, prepare documentation, and negotiate terms with insurers, contributing to smooth client experience and strong business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4-year degree course with at least 2 years sales experience, preferably as an Account / Sales Officer in a non-life brokerage company.
• Above average communications skills and product knowledge.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (ability to engage efficiently with clients, collaborate with other business units/ stakeholders and present in a professional manner).

Responsibilities

• Takes on calls, requests for quotations, endorsements, policies and other inquiries from clients, insurance companies, BDO branches and business units and acts on them appropriately and promptly.
• Negotiation with insurance companies and other BDOI units the most appropriate terms and conditions to suit the needs of the client.
• Prepare the required documentation using BDOI system such as renewal advice, quotation slip, proposal form, placement slip and cover note.
• Review policies issued by insurance companies prior to sending out to clients.

Job Summary

The Account Officer role for Non-Life Sales Insurance is under the BDO Insurance Group (BDOI). He/She would be in charge of helping clients be protected from financial damages through life’s unexpected incidents and connect them to top non-life insurance solutions and manage their needs every step of the way. Additionally, he/she will be exposed and responsible in developing and growing business portfolio as well as implementation of processes and procedures from sales to collections.
