Job summary

CAE, based in the Philippines, seeks an A330 Simulator Flight Instructor I to deliver training primarily in a flight simulator and, when needed, in ground school. Training aligns with regulatory, customer, and CAE standards to ensure safety and competency.

The role involves delivering instruction, maintaining detailed training records, and supporting license and type rating issuance while adhering to SOPs. Strong English, 2000+ PIC hours, and at least 2 years in aviation training are required.

Qualifications

• 2000+ hours PIC on multi-crew jet transports.
• ICAO-recognized ATPL with English level 5.
• 2+ years in aviation training or flight instruction.
• Meet regulator requirements for simulator instructors.
• Professional pilot license holder or holder in past.
• Solid knowledge of aviation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings per CAE standards.

• Recommend remedial training for progress gaps.
• Record simulator use and discrepancies per procedures.
• Monitor instructional qualifications for eligibility.
• Contribute to curricula and courseware development.
• Complete examiner training when assigned by Head of Training.
• Serve as invigilator during examinations when required.

Job Description:

The A330 Simulator Flight Instructor I is responsible for delivering training primarily in a flight simulator or other training devices and, when required, in a ground school environment. Training must be conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and CAE standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with CAE standards.
• Deliver training sessions in accordance with CAE, aircraft manufacturer, and customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide simulator flight instruction supporting the issuance of licenses, type ratings, and certifications.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive client training records to measure progress against established competency standards and support seamless instructor handovers.
• Recommend remedial training when a client is not meeting required training progress standards.
• Record simulator utilization and discrepancies in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor the validity of instructional qualifications to maintain eligibility to deliver training in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in the development of training curricula and courseware, as required.
• Complete training for examiner responsibilities when assigned by the Head of Training.
• Act as an invigilator during examinations, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2000 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) on a multi- crew jet transport or 1000 hours PIC on the relevant aircraft type.
• Hold / have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL with minimum ICAO English level 5.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant aviation training, flight instruction, or related experience.
• Meet the minimum experience requirements established by the applicable regulatory authority for simulator instructor qualification.
• Hold, or have previously held, a professional pilot license.
• Working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a customer-focused approach in a dynamic training environment.
• Quality-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
• Fluency in English.
