Job summary

CAE is seeking a qualified A330 Simulator Flight Instructor I to deliver training primarily in flight simulators and, when needed, in ground school environments. Training must comply with CAE standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Responsibilities include conducting thorough briefings, delivering SOP-driven sessions, maintaining training records, and supporting licenses and type ratings.

Qualifications

• 2000+ hours PIC on multi-crew jet transport or 1000 hours PIC on relevant aircraft.
• ICAO English level 5 or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of aviation training or flight instruction experience.
• Meet regulatory authority requirements for simulator instructor qualification.
• Hold or have held a professional pilot license.
• Working knowledge of aviation regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer-focused in dynamic training environments.

Job description

The A330 Simulator Flight Instructor I is responsible for delivering training primarily in a flight simulator or other training devices and, when required, in a ground school environment. Training must be conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and CAE standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with CAE standards.
• Deliver training sessions in accordance with CAE, aircraft manufacturer, and customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide simulator flight instruction supporting the issuance of licenses, type ratings, and certifications.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive client training records to measure progress against established competency standards and support seamless instructor handovers.
• Recommend remedial training when a client is not meeting required training progress standards.
• Record simulator utilization and discrepancies in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor the validity of instructional qualifications to maintain eligibility to deliver training in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in the development of training curricula and courseware, as required.
• Complete training for examiner responsibilities when assigned by the Head of Training.
• Act as an invigilator during examinations, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2000 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) on a multi- crew jet transport or 1000 hours PIC on the relevant aircraft type.
• Hold / have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL with minimum ICAO English level 5.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant aviation training, flight instruction, or related experience.
• Meet the minimum experience requirements established by the applicable regulatory authority for simulator instructor qualification.
• Hold, or have previously held, a professional pilot license.
• Working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a customer-focused approach in a dynamic training environment.
• Quality-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
• Fluency in English.
