Job summary

Maersk Line Limited is seeking a Network Rapid Response Engineer to support L1 operations within the Technology Operations Center, 24/7/365. You will install, monitor, test, maintain and troubleshoot integrated technologies, ensuring service visibility and rapid issue resolution.

The role requires proactive troubleshooting, strong networking knowledge, and collaboration with engineering to enhance performance and reliability across WAN/LAN/WLAN and perimeter infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience with event logging and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Netcool, LibreNMS, ThousandEyes, ExtraHop, Splunk).
• Solid understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP.
• Experience with packet captures and analysis using Wireshark.
• Hands-on with firewalls such as Cisco ASA and Checkpoint/ Fortinet.
• Ability to perform layered isolation at network and application tiers to mitigate issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze alerts for routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs, load balancers, and proxies.
• Troubleshoot, escalate, or remediate incidents based on monitoring outputs.
• Ensure health of the Maersk network estate and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement automation for infrastructure.
• Perform daily system checks to keep critical systems operational.
• Engage in incident management practices per ITIL and document outcomes.
• Mentor junior resources and share knowledge across teams.
