Job summary
Maersk is seeking a Network Rapid Response Engineer to support L1 operations of the Maersk estate, running 24/7/365. You will perform installation, monitoring, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of integrated technologies to keep services running and address issues that arise.
You will monitor alerts from routers, switches, firewalls, APs, load balancers and proxies, analyze events, and collaborate with engineering to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Qualifications
- Experience with event logging & network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Netcool, LibreNMS, ThousandEyes, ExtraHop & Splunk.
- Deep understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for proactive and reactive monitoring of alerts such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, load balancers & proxies.
- Analyze alerts and take actions such as troubleshooting, escalation or remediation.
- Monitor the performance and health of the Maersk network estate.
- Work with engineering to ensure optimal application performance and user experience.
- Respond to network incidents following diagnosis, resolution and documentation procedures.
- Develop and implement infrastructure automation tools.
- Perform daily system checks to keep critical systems operational.
- Experience with ITIL incident management methodologies.
