Job summary

NTT DATA is hiring an Oracle Database & OCI Administrator to oversee production Oracle databases, OCI services, and cloud migrations. The role involves patching, tuning, backup, and DR planning, with automation using scripting and Terraform where applicable.

You will collaborate with US teams, manage security and access policies, and support transitions to cloud environments. English is mandatory for cross‑team communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Oracle Database in production environments.
• Experience with OCI database services.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Hands-on RMAN backup and recovery experience.
• Experience with performance tuning and database monitoring.
• Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Oracle security, users, roles, privileges, patching, and upgrades.
• Scripting with Bash and Python; familiarity with Terraform is a plus.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Advanced spoken and written English – mandatory.

• Participating in Incident, Problem, Change, Security, and DR processes.
• Collaborating with US-based teams and stakeholders.

Your Challenge

• Administering and supporting Oracle Database environments in production.
• Managing Oracle database services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Supporting AWS RDS for Oracle environments when required.
• Installing, configuring, patching, and upgrading Oracle databases.
• Performing performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity monitoring.
• Managing backup, restore, and recovery processes using Oracle RMAN.
• Supporting High Availability and Disaster Recovery environments.
• Managing users, roles, privileges, security policies, and encryption.
• Applying Oracle security patches and Critical Patch Updates (CPU).
• Troubleshooting database performance, availability, connectivity, and storage issues.
• Supporting database migrations, upgrades, and on-premises-to-cloud migrations.
• Automating DBA activities using SQL, PL/SQL, Bash, and/or Python.
• Supporting automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform when applicable.
• Participating in Incident, Problem, Change, Security, and Disaster Recovery processes.
• Collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders in the United States.
