Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a QA/Testing professional to evaluate business processes, design and implement software solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders across the Information Technology Group in Makati. The role requires extensive SDLC expertise, end-to-end project involvement, and strong GL/banking system experience.

You will manage testing, log defects, and coordinate functional validation with business teams, ensuring compliance with IT policies and delivering high-quality applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job.
• 5–8 years of professional experience, preferably in banking.
• Experience with core banking systems and financial reporting platforms.
• End-to-end involvement on at least 5 projects (requirements to deployment).
• Strong preference for GL (General Ledger) implementation experience.
• Willing to work onsite in Makati.

Job Mandate

• Evaluate business processes

• Manage and execute testing for applications developed to ensure that they meet the quality requirements of the business
• Perform basic troubleshooting in the event of failure to appropriately log defects
• Support project coordination with stakeholder
• Work with project team on all related system development processes

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Help prepare systems documentation for requirements gathering to testing activity
• Support each SDLC activity for supported application
• Plan and coordinate applications functional testing of assigned projects based on direction from the delivery manager
• Support in validating systems, report results, and track defects in coordination with business and IT
• Perform basic troubleshooting to define
• Assure quality of delivered applications and their compliance with the functional and technical requirements
• Administer test execution and result reporting in compliance with IT policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Regulate and maintain testing documents (test cases, testing plans and reports)
• Report results and defects in a timely manner to business and IT, and work closely with them to develop solutions
• Provide systems analysis and testing expertise, direction and assistance to all stakeholders

Qualications:

• Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
• At least 5-8 years of profesisonal experience preferably in banking sector
• Experience in working with core banking systems and financial reporting platforms
• Part of the execution team for a minimum 5 projects, and have worked end to end on that project from requirements to deployment
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in implementing General Ledger (GL) solutions
• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati
