Overview:

An industry-leading law firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence is actively hiring a Staff Accountant to strengthen their internal finance operations. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative and fast-moving accounting team, ideal for someone who thrives in a professional services setting and brings both precision and initiative to financial processes.

Role Summary:

The Staff Accountant will focus primarily on treasury and trust account activities, helping to ensure seamless management of cash-related transactions. Key duties include reconciling receivables, handling trust accounts in line with compliance standards, and coordinating wire transfers and payment processing.

Core Responsibilities:

Review and reconcile client receivables; track aging and address discrepancies
Oversee client trust accounts, ensuring strict adherence to compliance protocols
Execute and log domestic and international wire transfers
Process daily cash receipts and apply payments accurately
Support the month-end and year-end close specific to treasury functions
Serve as a liaison to attorneys and administrative teams for transaction-related queries
Maintain clear, audit-ready financial records in accordance with firm policies

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
At least 2 years of professional accounting experience; legal or consulting sector experience strongly preferred
Solid grasp of trust accounting principles and electronic fund transfers
High level of accuracy, with strong organizational and analytical capabilities
Confident in Excel and general ledger systems; familiarity with legal billing platforms is an asset
Capable of managing multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced workflow
