As a Rails Engineer, you will be at the heart of Ravn's engineering process that empowers high-performance teams to quickly develop and deliver exceptional products.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
• Fluency with modern Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of Rubygems.
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications.
• Strong understanding of networking using REST, GraphQL, or WebSockets.
• Preferred: Unit tests experience.
• Experience deploying Rails applications and CI/CD tooling.
• Familiarity with web design patterns and profiling application processes.
• Experience with OpenSource libraries.

• Deliver new features and maintain the quality and responsiveness of Rails applications.

As a Rails Engineer, you will be at the heart of Ravn's engineering process that empowers high-performance teams to quickly develop and deliver exceptional products. We are focused on solving the hardest, most interesting challenges of developing software at scale without sacrificing stability, quality, velocity, or code health. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems for clients in the US andwork on delivering new features, maintaining and ensuring the quality and responsiveness of Rails applications. You will also be asked to participate in setting architecture direction for development projects, mentor and assist junior team members and perform detailed code reviews.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Excellent written and verbal skills in English

Fluencywith modern Ruby and Ruby on Rails

Strong understanding of common Rubygems

Hands-on experience writing and maintaining Ruby on Railsapplications

Strong understanding and experience with networking using REST, GraphQL, or WebSockets

Preferred Qualifications

Extremely comfortablewriting Unit Tests

Location:

This position is open to candidates based anywhere in Latin America and is fully remote. Candidates located near our offices in Arequipa, Peru or San Salvador, El Salvador have the option to work in a hybrid in-office/remote arrangement. While office attendance is not mandatory, regular or occasional visits to the office is valued.
