The Ravn Python Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that our software solutions meet the needs of our customers and are delivered on time.
We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team. You will also be asked to participate in setting architecture direction for development projects, mentor and assist junior team members and perform detailed code reviews.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in software development.

Strong proficiency in Python, with a deep understanding of its core concepts and libraries.

Solid understanding of asynchronous programming in Python.

Highly desirable proven experience building dynamic and responsive user interfaces using React.js.

Familiarity with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Understanding of software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Preferred Qualifications:

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend APIs using Python and FastAPI or Django.

Build and maintain responsive and user-friendly front‑end applications using React.js.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.

Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in both front‑end and back‑end systems.

Optimize application performance and scalability.

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Integrate with third‑party APIs and services.

You'll Earn Points if:

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Experience with writing unit and integration tests.

Location:

This position is open to candidates based anywhere in Latin America and is fully remote. Candidates located near our offices in Arequipa, Peru or San Salvador, El Salvador have the option to work in a hybrid in‑office/remote arrangement. While office attendance is not mandatory, regular or occasional visits to the office is valued.
