Explore Fresh Peru seeks a QC Inspector to ensure fresh produce shipments meet quality, safety and presentation standards from Peru Regional Hub. You will inspect, monitor and report across suppliers, packing facilities and shipments, working with Peru and UK teams as well as growers and exporters.

You will apply HACCP/GMP knowledge, perform risk-based inspections, and support supplier visits and claims analyses to drive continuous improvement.

Jobbeschreibung

The QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all fresh produce shipments managed by the Peru Regional Hub meet the company's agreed quality, specification, food safety and presentation standards before dispatch and throughout the supply chain process. The role is responsible for the operational inspection, monitoring and reporting of product quality across suppliers, packing facilities and shipments, ensuring that quality requirements are consistently applied across Peru and other regional origins working closely with the cross functional teams based in Peru and Wealmoor UK as well as suppliers, growers and exporters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct risk-based quality inspections of fresh produce from grower and packhouse through packing, loading and pre-shipment release, assessing product against approved specifications and intended customer requirements.
• Verify that product meets agreed customer and company specifications.
• Identify potential quality risks before the product is dispatched.
• Participate in supplier visits and technical meetings when required.
• Ensure that inspection criteria are consistently applied across suppliers and origins.
• Maintain a database of quality results by supplier, product and origin.
• Support customer claims and analyze against pre-shipment inspection results.
• Ensure that quality inspections are prioritized according to shipment timing and risk.
• Support quality monitoring across Peru and other regional origins.
• Contribute quality performance evidence and product observations during supplier and grower reviews when required, maintaining focus on product improvement, yield, waste and commercial outcomes.
• Support audit visits and supplier compliance reviews when required.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Ideally educated to Diploma or Degree Level in Food Science, Food Technology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related discipline.
• HACCP certification or equivalent food safety qualification.
• Food Safety and Hygiene certification.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
• Understanding of quality control processes within fresh produce, food manufacturing or agricultural operations.
• Internal auditing training is desirable.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Inspection role within the food, fresh produce or agricultural sector.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, sanitation and food safety requirements.
