The Weir Group in Jakarta, Indonesia, is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex mining projects with a hybrid on-site and travel schedule. You will plan schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate with engineering, procurement and service teams to deliver safe, reliable plant systems.

Ideal candidates bring a mechanical engineering background, 10 years in mining, and fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia to engage stakeholders across regions.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and construction experience.
• Minimum 10 years' mining industry experience.
• Experience with material handling and fixed plant systems.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

You'll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.**What you'll do*** **Project Planning & Scheduling:** Create and manage detailed project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met. You will rationalize defects and risks that may arise, ensuring projects stay on track.* **Budget & Cost Management:** Develop and oversee project budgets aligned with schedule milestones and scope commitments. Track cost variations and implement controls to maintain financial discipline.* **Communication & Stakeholder Management:** Serve as the central communication point between project teams, clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Manage expectations, provide regular project updates, and address concerns promptly.* **Leadership & Team Coordination:** Assemble and lead project teams, assign responsibilities, set deadlines, and motivate members to achieve project objectives. Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and service teams.* **Risk Management:** Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.* **Technical Oversight:** Apply technical knowledge in material handling and fixed plant equipment, including rubber lining projects, to ensure project requirements are met with technical credibility.* **Travel Requirements:** Occasional travel to subcontractors, vendors, and key customer sites within Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia, to conduct inspections and progress reviews.* **Safety First:** Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.**What you'll bring****Must-haves:*** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in engineering and construction projects.* Minimum 10 years' experience in the mining industry, focusing on material handling and fixed plant systems (conveyor systems, rubber works, crushers, screens).* Strong project management skills including scheduling, cost control, estimating, and resource allocation.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia for effective stakeholder engagement.**Nice-to-haves:*** Experience managing aftermarket and rubber lining projects.* Familiarity with technical drawings and engineering coordination.* Proven ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and make sound decisions under pressure.* Previous exposure to customer-facing roles and managing key account relationships.We live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
