A prominent apparel brand in Lima is looking for a Product Development Coordinator to manage the development process for their apparel categories. The role requires communication with various departments, proficiency in Excel, and a background in apparel product development. Ideal candidates should have strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This is an entry-level full-time position.

In this role, the Product Development Coordinator will assist with the development process from start to finish within the apparel categories assigned to them for the brand Darc Sport. They will support the team with initial apparel development, overseeing tech pack send-outs, managing WIPs, sample tracking, and maintaining delivery deadlines with vendors and the internal team. They are detail-oriented and work diligently to ensure all elements relating to the PD process are kept up-to-date, orderly, and accurate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Communicate daily with cross-functional departments - Design, Technical Design, Production and Marketing

· Manage WIP reports for their categories across multiple collection deliveries

· Initiate and arrange the sourcing of fabric, trims, lab dips, strike-offs, and other development materials

· Monitor and track samples from the Proto stage through the PPS stage

· Make sure tech-packs are updated by design and tech when necessary and sent out to vendors throughout the development process

· Follow up via email with overseas vendors to make progress on product development

· Use time and action calendars to maintain target dates and know when to bring issues up to upper management

· Request initial costing and work with management in negotiating costs to meet margin goals

· Maintaining internal record-keeping for all PD related information for the team’s reference

· Assist with problem-solving needs as associated with the product development process

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must have general apparel knowledge of garments and construction

· Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Basic math skills required

· Understanding of product life cycle

· Team Player, Positive & Flexible Attitude

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience:

· Associate or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Apparel Product Development and/or Design

· 2+ year(s) experience

· Experience in the Active Wear / Street Wear or Apparel industry desired

Physical Requirements:

· The employee will be required to: read; communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and analyze certain information; and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines, basic math

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to lift, pull, push and reach with hands and arms

· The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
