Job description

Who we are:

Access Partnership is the frontier consultancy getting innovation into market faster across technology, AI, Space and Health. With over 150 experts across six continents, we help clients in government, private sector and industry navigate complex regulatory, policy and communications challenges for the benefit of society.

Complex problems don't sit in silos and neither do we. Delivering frontier innovation into market takes a team of specialists that get you from concept to diffusion. Our architects of innovation - from strategists, economists, engineers, physicians to lawyers - work as one team to deliver technology into market for the benefit of society.

Geopolitical Advisory and Policy Advocacy Practice - Asia Group Advisors, An Access Partnership Company

This role sits within Access Partnership’s Geopolitical Advisory and Policy Advocacy Practice (formerly Asia Group Advisors). The Practice helps organizations identify and capture business opportunities and navigate complex regulatory, political, and economic issues in Asia. We deliver unparalleled results to our clients through our on-the-ground presence and direct access, broad networks of relationships, tailored solutions, and hands-on implementation.

You will be working across a broad range of issues and industries, from agriculture and energy to finance and the digital economy and in the dynamic space between Asia’s governments, businesses, and civil society organizations. Our consultants are creative, dedicated problem-solvers who offer local expertise and content-baed solutions. We empower our teams by providing tailored training plans and opportunities for regional exposure.

The role

We are looking for a senior public affairs professional to help lead our client service in Thailand and across the region, based in Bangkok.

As Senior Manager, you will own client relationships end-to-end: structuring solutions to complex political and regulatory challenges, leading day-to-day service and stakeholder engagement, and growing accounts by spotting new opportunities within existing and prospective clients. We need someone who thinks strategically, structures ambiguous issues into clear paths forward, and brings genuine creativity to how we advise clients. You will also mentor junior team members, including on structured problem solving and, depending on experience, take on greater responsibility for office management and client development.

You should be fluent in policy, with the ability to advise senior business executives with confidence and exceptional research skills, including demonstrated fluency in written English for policy, political, and issues analysis. Above all, we're looking for a sharp, creative problem-solver who can build trust with clients through clear and structured insights. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in government relations, corporate affairs, strategic communications, or management consulting and hold a degree in business, economics, political science, international relations, communications, law, or a related field.

What you will do:

  • Lead project work, including workstream structuring, research, presentation to clients and ensuring all deliverables are up to the highest quality

  • Structuring and proposing solutions and strategies to client challenges and issues and successfully implementing these strategies in pursuit of our clients’ interests

  • Building, maintaining, and managing client relationships as a trusted advisor to provide strategic advice and ensure client satisfaction

  • Overseeing the preparation, drafting and finalization of analytical reports

  • Building strong networks and relationships with bureaucrats and public officials, the business community, civil society organizations, government institutions and other relevant stakeholders

  • Supporting business development efforts, including the drafting of proposals and participation in pitches

  • Mentoring and developing junior consultants

What you will bring

  • Eight or more years’ experience in consulting, government relations, public affairs, or corporate affairs, of which at least two spent in consulting

  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and communication skills

  • A flair towards building network

  • Excellent command of business English and fluency in Thai is a prerequisite

  • Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing priorities

  • A dynamic, self-starter, resilient and autonomous attitude with an appreciation of diversity and value of teamwork

  • A problem-solver, with high energy and a passion for finding solutions and creative thinking

  • Experience in digital economy and healthcare desirable
