People Development is seeking a Product Development Leader in Lima, Peru, to guide the team through the full lifecycle of textile product creation. You will manage customer briefs, technical specifications, and production release while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in a related field, have 5+ years in textile product development with leadership experience, and possess advanced English skills to coordinate with internationalstakeholders.

What will you be responsible for?

• Lead the Product Development team and ensure the achievement of departmental goals, priorities, and deliverables.
• Plan and manage the team?s workload, assigning developments, ownership, and timelines based on commercial priorities and each customer?s requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end product development process, from initial customer briefs and technical requirements through final approval and production release.
• Review and assess customer requirements and technical specifications, proactively identifying inconsistencies, potential risks, or missing information before development begins.
• Oversee the creation, review, and maintenance of technical specifications and Tech Packs, as well as the development of fabrics, trims, colors, and other materials, ensuring accurate and complete technical information.
• Lead the development, follow-up, and approval of samples, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and committed delivery dates.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to keep developments on track and promptly resolve issues, delays, or potential risks.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Product Development team, strengthening technical judgment, ownership, autonomy, and a strong results-oriented mindset.
• Implement tracking tools and performance indicators to monitor progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and continuously enhance the efficiency of the development process.
• Oversee pattern-making schedules and coordinate pattern development activities in line with sample and production requirements.
• Maintain ongoing coordination with fabric, trim, printing, embroidery, and external manufacturing/service suppliers, ensuring technical requirements, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
• Plan and schedule internal production lines required for sample development, testing, and follow-up.
• Prepare and present executive reports and management KPIs, providing visibility into progress, performance trends, key deviations, and relevant insights to support management decision-making.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor?s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
• Additional specialization in Product Development, Textile Management, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is highly valued.
• 5+ years of experience in textile or apparel product development, including experience leading teams or holding positions such as Product Development Manager, Head, Coordinator, Supervisor, or Team Lead.
• Strong knowledge of apparel and textile product development, garment construction and pattern making, Tech Packs, fabric and trim development, costing, sample development, approval processes, quality standards, and supplier management.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple developments and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with customers, suppliers, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Advanced English proficiency
