Job summary

AT&S, headquartered in Leoben, Austria, seeks an Engineer PE/CAM Software Systems to drive smarter production and robust PE/CAM tooling. You will develop and maintain PE/CAM systems, automate processes, and collaborate across departments to keep solutions aligned with production needs.

You should bring a technical education or relevant experience, strong Java fundamentals, and experience with Git, Maven and Azure DevOps in a Linux/Windows environment. Fluency in German and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education or several years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, ideally Java.
• Experience with Git, Maven and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Create and use automation scripts to speed PE/CAM processes and reduce mistakes.
• Improve and update internal PE/CAM tools for users' efficiency.
• Analyze PE/CAM processes to identify improvements.
• Keep tools up to date with production needs.
• Help set rules for how software is built and documented.
• Build and manage databases to organize PE/CAM data.
• Collaborate with other departments to verify feasibility and connect systems.
• Be the main contact for IT and external partners to ensure system security and uptime.

In your role, your solutions will drive smarter production, shape high-end PE/CAM systems, and turn complexity into smooth operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Create and use automation scripts to make PE/CAM processes faster and reduce mistakes


• Improve and update internal PE/CAM tools to make them easier and more efficient for users


• Analyze how PE/CAM processes work and find ways to make them better


• Keep your own tools up to date so they match current production needs


• Help set clear rules for how software is built and documented


• Build and manage databases to organize important PE/CAM data


• Work with other departments to check if ideas are technically possible and help connect systems


• Be the main contact for IT and external partners to keep systems secure and running smoothl

Your Profile

• Completed technical education (e.g. HTL, HTBLA, FH, or university) or several years of relevant work experience


• Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, ideally Java


• Experience with modern development tools such as Git, Maven, and Azure DevOps (CI/CD)


• Understanding of relational databases like MSSQL


• Experience with Perl and Shell scripting is a plus


• Familiarity with GNU/Linux systems and Windows Server is an advantage


• Good spoken and written German and English skills for internal and external communication
