Job summary
A leading company in Oman is seeking a Senior Developer to participate in the full product development cycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java Web development, with strong proficiency in GWT and J2EE APIs, and must be passionate about achieving technical excellence in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in Java Web development.
- At least 1 year experience with Google Web Toolkit (GWT) & GXT.
- Good knowledge of database servers, especially DB2.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of product development cycle.
- Construct detailed design specifications based on customer requirements.
- Adhere to architectural guidelines and delivery standards.

• Participate in all phases of product development cycle: from product definition and design, through implementation, debugging, testing and support.
• Work as a senior member of the team on projects involving development of new features, sustenance, handling engineering escalations.
• Construct detailed design specifications (technical or business) based on customer requirements.
• Participate or assist in providing architectural design to meet project needs.
• Adhere to architectural guidelines/standards and delivery discipline processes.
• Achieve Technical Certification as per plan.
• Degree (BSc or Diploma) in Computer Science or any other relevant field.
• 3-5 years experience in Java Web development (MVC, Spring, AJAX, GWT, JSF)
• At least 1 year experience using Google Web Toolkit (GWT) & GXT
• Good knowledge of database servers especially DB2.
• Strong proficiency in the J2EE APIs, particularly Java-based application servers (IBM Web Sphere) with EJBs, servlets, and JSP.
• At least 1 year experience in custom UI development using IBM FileNet CE and PE APIs
