Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking a skilled professional for a role focused on welding processes and compliance. Candidates will be responsible for developing and maintaining Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

This role includes supporting fabrication activities, resolving production issues, and coordinating welding processes. A strong understanding of welding codes and procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welding Qualification Records (WQTR). Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, API, ISO, and DNV codes; select appropriate welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW) and provide technical guidance to supervisors and welders on welding techniques and procedures.
• Support fabrication activities: fit-up, welding, repair welding, and distortion control; resolve welding-related production issues and non-conformities; ensure proper preheat, interpass temperature, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), and consumable control; coordinate welding during trial assemblies and offshore structure modules fabrication.
