Job summary

Makkah Hypermarket in Muscat, Oman is hiring a Store Keeper to manage back store operations. You will receive goods from the loading bay, store them safely, and issue stock to the sales floor on request while maintaining accurate storage records.

The role requires adherence to FIFO, safety rules, and a clean, disciplined store environment. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in storekeeping within a supermarket, hypermarket, or warehouse.

Qualifications

• 2 years storekeeping experience in supermarket, hypermarket, or warehouse.
• Familiar with stock movement records, ERP or barcode systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of FIFO, expiry control, and safe stacking practices.
• Physically fit; lifting and organizing stock during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Receive checked goods from the receiving bay into correct storage locations.
• Store items safely and hygienically with proper stacking and temperature zones.
• Issue stock to the sales floor and departments on request with accurate records.
• Apply FIFO rotation and monitor expiry dates in the back store.
• Maintain bin cards, system locations, and support cycle counts.

Makkah Hypermarket is hiring a Store Keeper for its hypermarket in Muscat Oman You will be the custodian of the back store receiving stock from the receiving bay storing it safely and hygienically issuing goods to the sales floor on request and keeping storage records accurate at all times The role suits a storekeeper who has worked in a supermarket hypermarket or warehouse keeps a clean and disciplined store and follows FIFO and safety rules without shortcuts.

Responsibilities

• Receive checked goods from the receiving bay into the correct storage locations
• Store items safely and hygienically correct stacking segregation and temperature zones
• Issue stock to the sales floor and departments against requests recording every movement
• Apply FIFO rotation and monitor expiry dates in the back store
• Keep bin cards system locations accurate and support cycle counts
• Maintain cleanliness pest-control readiness and safety in all storage areas
• Control access to the store room and safeguard stock against loss and damage
• Report damaged slow-moving and near-expiry stock to the inventory team

Requirements

• 2 years storekeeping experience in a supermarket hypermarket or warehouse
• Familiar with stock movement records ERP or barcode systems an advantage
• Knowledge of FIFO expiry control and safe stacking practices
• Physically fit the role involves lifting and organising stock through the shift
• Honest disciplined and organised with a clean-store mindset
• Basic communication in English Hindi Urdu or Arabic
• GCC experience an advantage
