Job summary

Client of Skc Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead structural works in large-scale projects in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on planning, execution, and supervision of reinforced concrete structures including bridges, walls, culverts, and protection works.

You will coordinate method statements, shop drawings, QA/QC procedures, and field resources, ensuring alignment with project schedules and client requirements while liaising with engineers and inspectors.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in Civil Engineering projects, with emphasis on structural works.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute structure works including bridges, retaining walls, culverts and protection works.
• Prepare shop drawings inputs and liaise with engineers for approvals.
• Coordinate with planning team to align with project schedule and resources.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and inspection/test records are completed.
• Supervise site activities and assist the Draughtsman and supervisors.

Scope of Work

Structural excavation backfilling scaffolding shuttering reinforcement fixing and concreting of reinforced concrete structures including bridges culverts retaining wall and protection works

Responsible for Planning and execution of all structure works including bridges retaining walls box culverts protection works etc Supervise activities and provide support to team members as and when required

Duties amp Responsibilities

• Provide input for the preparation of shop drawings to the draftsman and liaise with the engineer for the approval process
• Preparation of method statements for the works to be executed in line with the QA QC procedures
• Plan the works coordinate with the planning team to align with the project schedule and estimate the material and resource requirement for the execution of works at site
• Responsible for arranging the material and other resource for execution of works as planned and oversee the site execution in coordination with the supervisors
• Liaise with Client Consultant and address technical queries issues
• Coordinate with the Inspector QC for fulfilling the inspection amp test requirements of the project and ensure inspection test records as applicable are generated
• Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor for providing the quantities of work to be carries out
• Prepare markup and as built drawings in coordination with the Supervisors and the Draughtsman respectively
• Assist the Storekeeper in receiving inspection of all the project materials directly delivered to site
