L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is looking for an expert in structural engineering based in Oman. The role involves designing and analyzing structural connections for both onshore and offshore projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
The ideal candidate will lead a team, manage projects from inception to completion, and demonstrate proficiency in relevant software tools such as STAAD Pro and Tekla Structure. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams are essential.
Structural Drawing Design knowledge: Design and analyse structural connections for diverse projects including onshore and offshore of Jacket, TOPSIDE, PAR, PAU Modules and industrial structures. Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AISC and Eurocodes.
Structural Analysis: Conduct lifting analyses aligning with API RP 2A, AISC and DNV design codes to qualify structure during LAND Transportation and Weighing.
Team Leadership: Lead and guide a team of engineers and draftsmen in executing Tekla Structure detailing. Ensure the creation of accurate and efficient structural models and drawings.
Software Proficiency: Utilize software tools including STAAD Pro, SACS, AutoCAD, Tekla Structure, Excel and Power BI. Develop spreadsheets for effective design, analysis and detailing of structural components.
Engineering Management: Manage projects related to JKT and TOPSIDE Ultra 32K MT Modules and industrial structures from inception to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Design Code Compliance: Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, codes and regulations in structural engineering. Ensure all designs and analyses adhere to these standards and collaborate with Client Structural Engineering for design appraisals.
Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Work closely with clients and other engineering disciplines including civil, mechanical and EIT teams to seamlessly integrate structural components into complex projects. Site Team meetings, site team requirements, daily interface with construction team to resolve site issues.
Documentation: Prepare detailed design calculations, reports and technical documentation for all projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
