Job summary

Sshic in Oman is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead building design from concept through construction. You will manage structural activities, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to local and international standards to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

The role requires 12–15 years' design experience, a Civil/Structural Engineering degree (Master's preferred), and accreditation. Oman residency and authority approvals are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required; master's preferred.
• 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• Design background for RC, foundations, PT, and steel structures.
• Design consultancy background and Oman Municipality approval preferred.
• Omani nationality preferred and professional accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, and mixed-use projects.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specs, and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and other teams.
• Support project delivery, planning, and technical problem-solving.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders through all phases.
• Support construction activities via design reviews and site-related technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education, and mixed-use developments.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project delivery, resource planning, and technical problem-solving.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project phases.
• Support construction activities through design reviews and site‑related technical assistance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Design background and aware for design of RC buildings, Foundations design, PT design, and Steel design
• Design consultancy background
• Oman Municipality approval
