Job summary

TRACTEBEL in Oman seeks Civil Engineers to support civil and structural design review, construction supervision, quality monitoring, and site verification for a renewable energy project. The role covers foundations, roads, drainage, cable trenches, buildings, substations, and related civil works.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least ten years of experience in civil/structural review, supervision, or site engineering on energy/EPC projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil/structural design review, construction supervision, or site engineering on energy or EPC projects.
• Experience with foundations, roads, drainage, substations, buildings, or BOE works.
• Experience in wind turbine foundations, solar PV/BESS civil works is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review civil and structural drawings, calculations, specifications, technical submissions, and construction method statements.
• Supervise civil works including foundations, roads, drainage, buildings, cable trenches, control rooms, and other site infrastructure.
• Monitor civil construction quality including geotechnical works, concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, testing, and inspection activities.
• Coordinate civil interfaces with electrical, wind, solar PV, BESS, grid, and other project disciplines.
• Witness inspections and tests in accordance with approved inspection and test plans and project quality procedures.
• Identify civil construction risks, non-conformances, progress concerns, and support corrective actions.
• Provide civil discipline input to progress reports, technical meetings, quality reviews, and close-out documentation.

About the Role

The role covers foundations, access roads, drainage, cable trenches, buildings, substation civil structures, and related balance-of-plant civil works.

• Monitor civil construction quality including geotechnical works, concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, testing, and inspection activities.


• Coordinate civil interfaces with electrical, wind, solar PV, BESS, grid, and other project disciplines.


• Witness inspections and tests in accordance with approved inspection and test plans and project quality procedures.
