Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a candidate in Oman to prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP). The successful applicant will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract documents while conducting site inspections and maintaining quality records.

This role includes coordination with various stakeholders and monitoring subcontractors, aiming to uphold high safety and quality standards across all site activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Ensure all site activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Conduct material inspection and approval (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, etc.).
• Review and verify Material Submittals, Method Statements, and Shop Drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site engineers for inspections.
• Raise and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Conduct site quality inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Ensure proper execution of structural works (footings, columns, beams, slabs, etc.).
• Check reinforcement as per approved drawings before concreting.
• Witness field tests (slump test, cube test, soil compaction test, etc.).
• Maintain quality records, checklists, and documentation.
• Monitor concrete pouring activities and ensure curing procedures are followed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct internal audits and site quality meetings.
• Ensure calibration of equipment and testing instruments.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship quality.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (if applicable).
• Assist in handing over completed works with proper documentation.
