Job summary

gu-recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day operations on a utility-scale solar project in Oman. You will coordinate EPC contractors, manage resources, and ensure alignment with schedule and budget.

Responsibilities cover installation of PV modules, inverters, and balance-of-plant works, along with robust subcontractor oversight, QA/QC, and HSE. Strong leadership and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 8–10 years in construction/energy projects; 5+ years in utility-scale solar farms.
• Proven Site Manager with installation, commissioning, and civil/electrical balance of plant works.
• Subcontractor management, QA/QC, and HSE for solar projects.
• Foundation engineering, soil mechanics, pile design.
• Excavation, grading, earthwork calculations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Total Station, GPS for verification/reporting.
• Read and interpret civil/structural/geotechnical drawings; roadwork/drainage knowledge.
• PV module installation techniques, inverters, trackers, cable routing; local and international standards.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation skills; English fluent; Arabic advantageous.
• Certifications: PMP, NEBOSH, or HSE training preferred; valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations; single point of accountability for construction activities.
• Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants; coordinate with project objectives.
• Plan resources (labor, equipment, materials) with project team to meet schedule and budget.
• Supervise engineers, supervisors, technicians; conduct toolbox talks and coordination meetings.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings, redline markups, and civil completion dossiers.
• Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and senior management; provide updates.
