Job Description
We areseeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead all quality assurance andquality control activities at our wind farm construction site. This roleestablishes and implements the project quality plan aligned with gate and keyquality milestone management, serves as the primary decision authority on allNCRs and critical deviations, and ensures full documentation traceabilityacross all project phases.communication skills.
KeyResponsibilities
Quality Planning s Gate/Milestone Management
- Establish and maintain the project quality planaligned with gate and key quality milestone requirements, ensuring all qualityactivities are planned and executed per phase.
- Approve all gate release documents including:FAT Certificate, Port Reports, Stackyard Release, Installation Logs,Commissioning Reports, and TOC (Take-Over Certificate).
- Serve as the major decision authority on allNCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and critical deviations – evaluating,dispositioning, and approving corrective actions.
- Ensure full documentation traceability ismaintained across all gates and milestones from manufacturing through tohandover.
TeamManagementandInspection Assignment
- Manage and mentor a quality team consisting of6 Quality Engineers, 2 NDT Inspectors, and 4 Trainees.
- Assign inspectors to specific gates andcomponents based on competency and workload, ensuring adequate coverage for allinspection activities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provideon-the-job training to develop team capabilities.
- Review technical documentation and solutionsproposed by the team, ensuring alignment with project specifications andstandards.
StakeholderCommunicationandQuality Meetings
- Conduct weekly quality review meetings withinternal teams to review NCR status, inspection results, and qualityperformance metrics.
- Serve as the primary contact for internalstakeholders (project management, construction, engineering) and externalstakeholders (client, OEM representatives, third-party inspectors) on allquality matters.
- Escalate client-raised quality concerns to management in a timely manner, with proposed action plans.
- Facilitate collaboration across QA/QC team,installation crew, and client representatives – building trust and enablingteam success.
Requirements
- Experience 8+ years ofquality management experience in wind energy or heavy infrastructure projects,with proven experience in both factory/plant quality (pre-FAT) and siteinstallation/commissioning quality – ideally, the ability to control quality at orbefore the FAT phase.
- Gate/MilestoneKnowledge Deep understanding of gate and key quality milestone management forwind farm projects –from manufacturing through to commissioning and handover.
- Team Management Provenexperience managing multi-disciplinary quality teams (10+ members). Strong leadership,mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Decision AuthorityDemonstrated ability to make informed, sound decisions on-site – not dependent on remote supportfor routine issues. Independent and confident in critical decision-making.
- Site InspectionKnowledge Proven experience in storage yard management, mechanical installation inspection (bolting,alignment, hydraulic systems), commissioning checklist review, and finalwalkdown after reliability testing. Familiar with creating and managing punchlists and NCRs for handover.
