Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Oman is seeking a Site EHS Officer to lead health, safety and environmental efforts on the Abu Dhabi-Sohar railway project. The role focuses on compliance with EHS principles, incident management, and regulatory reporting, with a strong emphasis on audits and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, NEBOSH IGC with Merit, IOSH Managing Safely, and relevant ISO Lead Auditor credentials, plus a valid Oman/GCC driving license.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification required with Merit before 2022.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Valid Oman/GCC driving license is mandatory.
• Experience with PTW systems for installation activities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key Health, Safety and Environmental contact at the project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS records, reports, and KPIs; coordinate audits and regulatory submissions.
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation across the project.
• Liaise with customers, contractors, and authorities on EHS matters.
