Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Oman is seeking a Site EHS Officer to lead health, safety, and environmental efforts across project sites. You will ensure compliance with EHS standards, conduct inspections, and drive incident investigations and corrective actions.

The role requires NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, and ISO Lead Auditor certifications, with English fluency and a driving license. Travel to multiple sites will be necessary in a dynamic railway environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Civil, or related.
• Omani nationality is required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environment, preferably within construction, infrastructure, installation, or railway projects.
• NEBOSH IGC certification, with a Merit pass achieved before 2022.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Basic or Advanced First Aid certification.
• Valid Oman/GCC driving license is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for installation activities.
• Strong knowledge of incident investigation processes, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and reports.
• Good understanding of EHS risk assessment and best practices.
• Railway project experience is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key contact for Health, Safety, and Environmental matters at the assigned project sites and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify risks, and implement corrective measures.
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements across the project.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and maintain EHS records and reports.
• Ensure proper reporting, investigation, and closure of incidents and near misses.
• Coordinate EHS permits and training with stakeholders.
• Review SWMS, PTW, and risk assessments for compliance.
• Lead toolbox talks, inductions, and EHS communications.
