Job summary

Tronox Limited in Oman is seeking a hands-on plant operator to ensure safe, stable production and high-quality outputs. You will monitor process parameters, log data, and support maintenance activities while adhering to SOPs and safety standards.

The role requires collaboration across shifts and a proactive approach to problem solving. You will participate in incident investigations, use IT systems for reporting, and ensure proper handovers to maintain continuous plant performance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plant operations and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding technical safety and standard operating procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork in shift-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust process parameters for safe, stable operations.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance.
• Log data accurately into shift logbook and Control Room system.
• Conduct plant rounds to identify issues and ensure safe, stable operations.
• Raise maintenance job requests in the system.
• Detect and report process deviations using A3 investigations.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Utilize IT systems for reporting and data gathering.
• Follow SOPs for startup/shutdown to ensure safe, stable operations.
• Ensure detailed shift handovers to maintain process continuity.
• Operate plant/equipment without guidance (e.g. field, DCS).
• Collect and deliver in-process samples for laboratory analysis.
• Participate and assist team members with tasks.
