Job summary

Gender is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Reliability leader to oversee workshop operations, asset integrity, and maintenance strategies for a 24/7 refinery setting in Oman. The role requires guiding maintenance teams, coordinating with operations, and ensuring compliance with HSE and ISO standards.

Ideal candidates hold a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with 12+ years in Oil & Gas maintenance and 3–5 years in leadership, plus CMMS and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
• CMRP or CRL certification preferred.
• Minimum 12 years in Oil & Gas refinery maintenance.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with RCA and RCmS and HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize reliability of refinery assets.
• Plan refinery shutdowns, turnarounds, and outages in coordination with operations.
• Oversee central maintenance workshop and ensure tools and calibration are ready.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for facility upgrades and maintenance.
• Negotiate contracts with external contractors and equipment suppliers.
