Job summary

OQ Exploration & Production seeks an executive leader to own and deliver its capital projects portfolio. You will direct planning, engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and close-out, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality alignment across all upstream projects.

The role sets standards, governs contracting strategy, and drives value while safeguarding health, safety, and the environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 14+ years' progressively responsible experience in capital project delivery, including planning, design management and capital programming in oil & gas.
• Proven experience leading a projects function or department as a single point of accountability.
• Extensive experience directing multiple large/major capital projects across full lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in project controls, cost and schedule management, risk management, and assurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver capital projects for upstream portfolio from planning through commissioning and close-out.
• Lead upstream project portfolio planning and resource optimisation with CoE.
• Direct integrated project reviews to maximise deliverability and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain an overarching project portfolio framework and reporting.
• Oversee master plan development, set project strategies, and govern interface management between projects.
• Maintain portfolio design and construction standards and approve system/technology choices.
• Govern budgets and cost control across the portfolio.
• Oversee contracts and procurement processes for the portfolio.
• Select and evaluate engineers, consultants, and contractors with CoE involvement.
• Drive post-completion evaluation and continuous improvement programs.
