Job summary

Oman Investment Authority, through OQEP, seeks an experienced Operational Support Engineer to deliver best-practice strategies for safe and efficient site operations. You will provide end-to-end engineering and operational support across offshore and on-plot facilities during execution, commissioning, start-up, and steady-state operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant upstream oil and gas experience.
• Adaptable professional thriving in complex operational and project environments.
• Experience in design support, troubleshooting, and interface with multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical engineering support across upstream surface facilities during execution, commissioning, start-up, and steady-state operations.
• Lead troubleshooting, technical assessments, and problem solving to ensure safe operations.
• Coordinate readiness activities, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, and ORA/PSSR governance.
• Act as technical authority for operational support and ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
• Support capability development, succession planning, and continuous improvement within Operation Support.
