Senior Turnaround Planning & Execution Engineer

Job summary

Gender is seeking a Sr. Engineer Turnaround in Oman Duqm to lead maintenance shutdowns across OQ8. You will plan, coordinate, and execute turnaround activities, working with procurement, operations, and engineering teams to maximize asset availability.

The role requires 8+ years in oil & gas or refinery environments, with strong CMMS, SAP-PM, Primavera and MS Project skills. Offshore/field exposure and safety leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) or related field
• Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical industries
• Knowledge of CMMS, SAP-PM Module, Primavera / MS Project
• Hands-on experience in turnaround execution across multiple units
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and procurement for turnarounds

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end turnaround planning with material and contract planning
• Coordinate with planning team to develop integrated turnaround plan
• Procuring resources and evaluating tenders
• Lead execution ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure equipment manufacturers' standards and safety procedures are followed
• Develop work breakdown structures and modify plans as needed
• Coordinate with stakeholders across maintenance, operations, procurement and HSE
• Monitor progress and report daily on schedule execution
• Conduct close-out and lessons learned workshops
• Manage safety and permit-to-work during turnaround
