Job summary

Al Ghalbi International - OMAN is seeking a Senior QC Engineer / QC Engineer with 8–12 years in oil and gas projects. Role requires QMS development, ITPs, and compliance with international codes.

The candidate should be familiar with FPD/TIV practices and hold CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI, plus ASNT Level II RT and IRCA/RABQSA registration. Responsibilities include ensuring contract quality, reviewing suppliers, preparing ITPs, and coordinating audit activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–12 years in oil & gas project quality.
• Experience in QMS design, procedures and ITPs.
• Familiar with oil & gas codes and standards.
• QA across design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement the Quality Plan and updates.
• Develop and monitor Contract Specific Quality Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Review Sub-supplier Quality Management Systems and performance.
• Prepare and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Report Quality activities as directed and liaise with the Company.
• Audit activities internal and external; follow up Corrective Actions.
• Maintain contract quality records and resolve quality problems.

Project: Maintenance and Integrity contract - North OMAN

Position: Senior QC Engineer / QC Engineer

Experience:-

• Shall have minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in oil and gas projects. Shall have a minimum of 2 years management experience in establishment, operation and maintenance of a quality management system in accordance with applicable international standard with the capability of developing and implementing quality system, quality plans, work procedures and inspection plans.
• Shall have experience in quality management in projects covering design / engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
• Shall have technical knowledge of inspection and exposed to multi discipline works of oil and gas construction field.
• Shall be familiar with relevant codes used in oil and gas industries.
• Preferably be familiar with practices such as Flawless Project Delivery (FPD) and Technical Integrity Verification (TIV).

Qualification:-

Shall be a Graduate Engineer (B.Sc. Eng. / BE/B.Tech.) either in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Welding engineering as appropriate.

Mandatory Certification / Registration:-

• Shall have Welding Inspection Qualification (CSWIP 3.1 or AWS- CWI) or equivalent.
• Shall have at least ASNT TC-1A level II in RT
• Shall be a Registered Lead Assessor with IRCA, RABQSA or equivalent.

Responsibilities:-

• Prepare, implement, monitor, revise and update the Quality Plan.
• Develop, prepare, implement and monitor all Contract Specific Quality Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Review and monitor Sub-suppliers Quality Management Systems and quality performance.
• Prepare, review and monitor the implementation of the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Report Quality activities as directed.
• Liaise with Company on matters related to Quality as applicable.
• Be responsible for auditing activities internal, external, and follow up of Corrective Actions.
• Be responsible for overall control, supervision and implementation of Contract quality and technical requirements; resolution of quality problems; preparation and maintenance of Contract quality records.
