Job summary

Al Ghalbi International in Oman seeks a Senior QC Engineer for a coastal interior project maintenance and integrity contract in North Oman. You will oversee quality activities across design, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning to ensure compliance with international standards.

Candidates should have 8–12 years in oil and gas, at least 2 years in quality management leadership, CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI, ASNT TC-1A Level II in RT, and IRCA/RABQSA registration.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer in mechanical/metallurgical/welding engineering as appropriate.
• Mandatory CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI, and ASNT TC-1A Level II in RT.
• Registered Lead Assessor with IRCA/RABQSA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, implement, monitor and update the Quality Plan.
• Develop and monitor contract-specific Quality Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Review Sub-suppliers' QMS and performance.
• Prepare and monitor ITPs.
• Report Quality activities and liaise with the client.

QC Engineer Experience

• Shall have minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in oil and gas projects
• Shall have a minimum of 2 years management experience in establishment operation and maintenance of a quality management system in accordance with applicable international standard with the capability of developing and implementing quality system quality plans work procedures and inspection plans
• Shall have experience in quality management in projects covering design engineering procurement construction pre-commissioning and commissioning phases
• Shall have technical knowledge of inspection and exposed to multi discipline works of oil and gas construction field
• Shall be familiar with relevant codes used in oil and gas industries
• Preferably be familiar with practices such as Flawless Project Delivery FPD and Technical Integrity Verification TIV Qualification

Qualifications

• Shall be a Graduate Engineer B Sc Eng BE B Tech either in Mechanical Metallurgical Welding engineering as appropriate
• Mandatory Certification Registration - Shall have Welding Inspection Qualification CSWIP 3 1 or AWS- CWI or equivalent Shall have at least ASNT TC-1A level II in RT Shall be a Registered Lead Assessor with IRCA RABQSA or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare implement monitor revise and update the Quality Plan
• Develop prepare implement and monitor all Contract Specific Quality Procedures and Work Instructions
• Review and monitor Sub-suppliers Quality Management Systems and quality performance
• Prepare review and monitor the implementation of the Inspection and Test Plans ITPs
• Report Quality activities as directed
• Liaise with Company on matters related to Quality as applicable
• Be responsible for auditing activities internal external and follow up of Corrective Actions
• Be responsible for overall control supervision and implementation of Contract quality and technical requirements resolution of quality problems preparation and maintenance of Contract quality records

Additional Qualification Details
