Job summary

Nortal is seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead complex product delivery in the public sector space, aligning multiple product teams and stakeholders. You’ll leverage business and systems analysis, service design, and user research to drive value in high-ambiguity environments.

You will own the backlog, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and tailor AI tooling to improve outputs while navigating governance and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in iterative product delivery and software project management
• Domain knowledge in public sector or large-scale digital transformation programmes
• Experience with service design and user research methods, and background in business or systems analysis
• Ability to understand market trends and advise customers on agile methods and ceremonies
• Strong UX understanding, journey mapping, and process modeling

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the product backlog across complex deliveries, refining scope and managing scope creep
• Use customer discovery, experimentation, and data analysis to define key user journeys and business requirements
• Lead a cross-functional product delivery team in an agile environment and run workshops with customers and end users
• Create alignment between multiple product teams and a broad range of stakeholders
• Define product development metrics and seek ways to improve team performance
• Identify product opportunities and coordinate with Project or Product Manager for exploration
• Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate AI tooling across team processes
