Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to drive schedules for renewable energy projects in Muscat. You will develop and maintain plans across development, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery and budget alignment.

The role requires 3–5 years of planning experience, strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project, and excellent communication with EPCs, consultants, and utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
• 3–5 years of planning experience in large infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is essential.
• Experience with EPC contractors, consultants, and utility stakeholders is advantageous.
• Familiarity with renewable energy permitting, interconnection, and regulatory timelines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of earned value management and project control principles.
• Understanding of construction methodologies and renewable energy technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive and adaptable to fast-paced project environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update detailed projectschedules (Primavera P6 or MS Project) for all phases.
• Prepare and manage project WBS, activity coding, and critical path analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate inputs into the master schedule.
• Support project cost control, including forecasting, earned value analysis, and variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of RfP, tender and contract schedules and review contractor schedules for accuracy.
• Participate in coordination meetings with team, contractors, consultants, and local authorities.
• Monitor compliance with project milestones, grid connection deadlines, and permitting timelines.
