Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Field Engineer IV – MPD to join our team. This pivotal role provides technical and engineering support for Managed Pressure Drilling operations, optimizing MPD performance, drilling efficiency, and operational excellence on-site.

You will collaborate with country and regional teams, customers, and rig personnel to ensure accurate engineering analysis, safe execution, and compliance with Weatherford's quality standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 7 years Oil & Gas MPD experience.
Minimum 5 years direct MPD operations/engineering.
Strong MPD knowledge: hydraulics, pressure mgmt, well control.
Experience with hydraulic simulations and modeling.
Experience supporting onshore and offshore operations.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for MPD operations, including hydraulic calculations and simulations.
Direct technical execution and optimization of MPD at rig sites and remote locations.
On-call 24 hours while on site to provide required technical support.
Review daily reports, hydraulic models, and end-of-well reports; document lessons learned.
Support pre-job planning, risk assessments, and readiness evaluations.
