Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Field Specialist II for MPD operations to provide hands-on support at customer well sites in Oman. You will install, operate, test, and maintain MPD equipment, ensuring safe and efficient execution of well construction activities.

The role requires 3–5 years of MPD field experience, strong knowledge of RCD and choke systems, and a solid understanding of pressure-control and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or equivalent in mechanical/electrical/instrumentation.
• 3–5 years oil & gas field MPD experience.
• Hands-on MPD equipment and wellsite operations.
• Experience with RCDs, MPD choke systems, and pressure-control equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe MPD rig-up, operation, testing, commissioning, and rig-down per procedures.
• Operate and monitor MPD choke and RCD systems, flow meters, and valves.
• Support drilling, tripping, casing, and cementing activities with MPD equipment.
• Conduct inspections, function checks, preventive maintenance, and pre-job readiness.
• Document test results and prepare field reports and logs.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and escalate complex problems.
• Maintain records and participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and JSA/JHA.
